Our Workshops are for you if you:
  • If you are a complete beginner
  • A practitioner looking to increase your range of therapeutic skills
  • Want to attract more clients to your existing practice
  • Are interested in Traditional Chinese Medicine
  • Don’t like courses with large classes – ours are all less than eight students on each workshop (with the exception of Qigong workshops which may be held in larger venues)
  • Are a practitioner looking to earn some CPD (Continuous Professional Development) points.
  • Enjoy learning with professional, experienced teachers, in a relaxing environment.
  • Want a choice of weekend or weekday workshop – all our workshop have the choice of two dates – one in the week and one at the weekend – choose which is best for you.

Unless otherwise stated each workshop lasts for a day from

Workshop Tutor
W1. Cupping Treatments and the Mineral Therapy Lamp Tony Horrocks
Using the modern version of Traditional Chinese Cupping and the Mineral Therapy Lamp – used in hospitals and clinics in China for the last 20 years – increasingly used here.
Dates:  Sunday 19th April or Tuesday 21st April – 10am to 1pm
(half day courses – can be combined with W2 Treatments for Addictions, same dates – 2pm to 5pm)
   
W2.  Traditional Chinese Treatments for Addictions – Smoking, Alcohol and Social Drugs Tony Horrocks
Practical treatments for addictions using acupressure, acupoints, ear points with ear “seeds” and miniature magnets
Dates:  Sunday 19th April or Tuesday 21st April  - 2 to 5pm
(half day courses – can be combined with W1 Cupping Treatments and the Mineral Therapy Lamp  - 10 to 1pm)
 
W3.  Introduction to Tuina Chinese Massage May Chen
Learn the some basic techniques in this increasingly popular form of therapeutic massage
Dates: Saturday 16th May or Wednesday 20th May
   
W4.  Acupressure and the treatment of Pain Tony Horrocks
How to find and use a number of acupoints to treat a range of painful conditions
Dates:  Sunday 31st May or Wednesday 10th June
 
   
W5.  Tuina Chinese Massage for Infants and Children May Chen
This workshop includes techniques for massaging young children.  Young children respond very well and enjoy this form of massage.
THIS IS A HALF-DAY COURSE 10am to 1pm
Dates:  Wednesday June 24th or Saturday June 27th
 
W6.  Biomagnetic Healing Tony Horrocks
The use of small magnets as an aid to healing in Chinese medicine – using energy channels and acupoints.
Dates:  Sunday 19th July or Wednesday 22nd July

Workshop Tutors

Tony Horrocks, FCIPD, MCMA, Dip Tui-Na, FEA, Adv. Cert Biomagnetics, Cert Studies Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development with many years of experience in education and training as well as being a practitioner of Chinese medicine.   He studied in the UK, USA and China where he worked in a hospital in Beijing. He is a member of the Complementary Medical Association and the World Academic Society of Medical Qigong.     

Chen Mei Yu (May Chen), Cert. Studies Tuina, Guangxi University), from Nanning in southern China has studied Tui-Na with Three Treasures and at the Guangxi University, China.  May teaches the practical aspects of Tui-Na.  Mei also teaches Mandarin Chinese language for the Somerset Chinese Association.

It’s easy to find, on the A38 main Taunton to Bridgwater road near the centre of the village of North Petherton (it’s actually a small town).  We are next door to the Swan Inn – almost opposite to the Walnut Tree Hotel.   Three Treasures is about five minutes from Junction 24 on the M5 Motorway.

Parking space is available on the premises or on the road adjacent.
